Fall Birthplace of Hockey Tournament (B/A/AA)

West Hants is hosting it’s first Fall Birthplace of Hockey tournament for U11 (B/A mixed divisions), U13B, U13A, U15A, and U15AA from Thursday October 27th to Sunday October 30th.

Games will start at 6pm on Thursday, running all day Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Format will be 12/12/15 stop time, with 3 games guaranteed. All game results will be reported to Scotia Minor to count towards relegation placement within the league.

Space is limited within each age/division, with priority registration given to teams in the Scotia Minor League. Interested teams from other leagues are welcome to contact us to be added to a waitlist (registration will be confirmed mid-October).

Cost per team is $1,250.

March Break Birthplace of Hockey Tournament (U9 (Dev, Int and Adv) and U11C, U13C, U15C and U18C)

Our March Break Tournament is Back for March Break 2023!  Please read below for more information.

U11C, U13C, U15C and U18C – March 10th to 12th.

2 x 12 minute stop time and 1 x 15 minute stop-time periods for all games including crossovers and championship.  Initial games will start Friday (time depending on number of registered teams).  Guaranteed 3 games, with half of the teams advancing to the cross-over rounds.

Cost per team is as follows

U11C: $900
U13C: $950
U15C: $1,000
U18C: $1,000

U9 Development/Intermediate/Advanced – March 18th/19th (may extend to the 17th depending on interested number of teams).

As per Hockey Canada and Hockey Nova Scotia’s standard of play for U9 Divisions, all games will be half-ice games.  The format will see each team divide into groups with one group competing against another on one half of the ice while the second halves of the teams play on the other half surface. 

The format is 2 x 20 minute straight time periods.  Teams are guaranteed 4 games.  The focus of the U9 BOH tournament is entirely focused on the players having fun, and we hope to see you there!

U9 (all divisions): $700

If your team is interested in participating, please contact (or to register.  Registration is encouraged as soon as possible so we can finalize dates and let people know when their first games are to help plan travel.  The tournament will be posted on Hockey NS’s website (it’s coming!).


Windsor has several accommodations available, the largest being the Super8.  If you are planning to attend the tournament, please contact Super 8 directly to book out a block of rooms for your team (they book fast!).  If they are full, the next nearest large hotels are towards Wolfville or in Halifax.
